Dodentocht Bornem 2017

Friday August 11th at 21h00 off they go again!

Katheleen and Diana are ready! Well trained and full of courage they will participate also this year in the “Dodentocht” of Bornem. They will walk for 100 km ! But giving in is not part of their style so also not this year.

We will be around at the start and the day after we will welcome them with open arms, a bag of chips and a terrific beer of Bornem.

Follow-up of the project

Bornem and the dodentocht: it is heavy, but above all the EMOTIONS for everyone involved!

Master, they did it again! Katheleen and Diana and in what a speed the kilometers were done!
15h13 for 100 km = 6.6 km per hour and that means : arrive at 12h15 when you have left the day before at 21h02.

You can only get goosebumps as 'outsider ' (Yes, because spectators were there!)
The weather was not very good this time, Katheleen and Diana, came in by rains, but oh so happy, under a water sun on the afternoon of Saturday 12 August.

A table was already reserved in a nice restaurant in the Center of Bornem nearby the arrival and the salty chips, a ‘kriek’ and a Bornemsen double felt well.  One already spoke of a third version dodentocht 2018.

Since you took this challenge to support the projects of Vleugels van Hoop, you will see many African children laugh!
