't Spijker Hoogstraten
For the 2nd time we were invited by the board and teachers of ’t Spijker in Hoogstraten to propose a new project of ‘Vleugels van Hoop’ to the children of the primary school.
As last time the drivers were Paul Totori and Anita De Bont (old-teacher of ’t Spijker) and Hilde, François & Bernadette (vzw Vleugels van Hoop).
On April 18th, 19th and 20th we went to the school. Per class the pupils got, by showing a Powerpoint presentation, information on Rwanda in general. Of course also the selected project “bee nursery” was talked about. From the smallest ones up to the pupils of the 6th class all listened very carefully, raised question, tested the didactical material and watched small movies.
The children of the primary school make a call towards families, relatives and neighbours to support them financially in the sponsor walk through Hoogstraten for the benefit of the projects of 'Vleugels van Hoop'. The pre-schoolers walk a short distance, the children in the primary school a larger distance, depending on their age.
Already a big thank you to all pupils, teachers and the board for their enthusiastic collaboration and good luck with the action!
